The Apostles’ House is turning 41—and we’re inviting you to be part of a celebration that’s not just about where we’ve been, but where we’re going.

Homelessness in New Jersey remains a critical crisis. More than 10,500 children in the state were identified as experiencing homelessness during the last academic year. For every 100 very or extremely low-income renter households, only 43 affordable apartments are available. And for a single parent to afford a modest two-bedroom rental at fair market rent, they would need to work 96 hours each week—more than two full-time jobs.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, join us at 6:00 PM at the Liberty Hall Academic Center at Kean University for the Our Voice Gala: Amplifying Hope One Story at a Time.

For four decades, The Apostles’ House has walked alongside women and families experiencing homelessness, helping them rebuild their lives through compassion, stability, and opportunity. What started as a small emergency shelter has grown into a vital, multifaceted agency supporting hundreds each year with housing, food, job training, and holistic support services.

And now, we’re preparing for our next chapter.

The Our Voice Gala isn’t just a fundraiser it’s a chance to honor the women whose courage continues to inspire us. A spotlight on the donors, volunteers, and partners who’ve made this journey possible. And a space to share the powerful stories that too often go unheard.
