TAH Kids Step Into the New School Year with Confidence

As the summer winds down and a new school year begins, The Apostles’ House is proud to celebrate the generosity of our community partners who helped prepare TAH Kids for a strong start. With the love and support of local churches, organizations, and volunteers, our children are heading back to school with not only the supplies they need, but also the encouragement to thrive.

On August 26th, Fountain Baptist Church hosted a beautiful back-to-school event for TAH Kids, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with care and community. The event was made even more special by the service of Ezekiel  Collin from Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated, Gamma Iota Chapter who volunteered his time and talent to provide free haircuts for our children. His thoughtful gift helped our young people walk into the school year with confidence and pride.

The support didn’t stop there. Thanks to the incredible kindness of St. Peter’s Church in Essex Fells and their Vacation Bible School (VBS) program, our children received brand-new backpacks and school supplies. The Daughters of Zion also joined in this effort, donating much-needed supplies that will carry our students throughout the year. Together, these contributions mean that no child begins the school year without the tools to succeed.

At The Apostles’ House, we know it takes a village to nurture and uplift children and families experiencing homelessness. These back-to-school efforts are a powerful reminder of what happens when communities come together to show compassion and care.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who continue support our mission.  You have each played a role in helping TAH Kids step into the school year ready to learn, grow, and shine.
