The Apostles’ House Launches Women’s Giving Circle

We are proud to announce the launch of The Apostles’ House Women’s Giving Circle — a new initiative designed to unite women in philanthropy and invest in the lives of women and children experiencing homelessness.

The Giving Circle is built on a simple yet powerful idea: when women come together, pool their resources, and share their vision for change, the impact is multiplied. This circle is more than a fundraising initiative — it’s a community of women committed to equity, empowerment, and transformation.

We are especially honored to share that Layla Andrade of M&T Bank has graciously volunteered to chair the Giving Circle in its inaugural year. Layla is a passionate community advocate whose vision and leadership embody the spirit of this initiative. With her guidance, the Giving Circle is poised to become a powerful force for good in Newark and beyond.

Layla Andrade, Vice President, Relationship Manager at M&T Bank serves as the Apostles House Women's Giving Circle Inaugural Chair.
How It Works!

Members commit to raising $500 or more, with a collective goal of $10,000 in our first year. Thanks to a generous matching gift from Help Us Move In (HUMI), every dollar raised will be doubled — directly supporting our Rehousing Program, which helps women transition from homelessness into safe, stable housing.

Join Us

There’s still time to become part of this movement! We warmly welcome new members who are ready to step into this journey of collective giving and shared purpose. When you join, you’re not just supporting The Apostles’ House — you’re standing with women and families, amplifying their resilience, and helping to open doors to brighter futures.

Together, we’re not just raising funds — we’re building a community rooted in sisterhood, purpose, and powerful change.

Learn more about how you can join the Giving Circle download our one-pager here.

When women give together, entire communities rise.

Join the Women’s Giving Circle today and help us create pathways from homelessness to stability.

Even if you’re not joining as a member, you can stand with us. Contribute any amount toward our $10,000 Giving Circle goal and your gift will be matched dollar for dollar by HUMI. Together, we can open doors to stability for women and families.
